World History Unit 5 Week 17 Judaism
Plan 16 – 20 December 2013
Introduction
This week we delve deep into one of the most ancient religions still practiced today and is in fact the corner stone of three major religions: Judaism, Christianity and Muslim. The reason for this is because all three of these faiths share a common bond in their belief in the old testament and that Father Abraham was blessed and chosen by God to create the first monotheistic religion that has survived over the many centuries and still heavily influences our lives today.
We cannot study this period of history without acknowledging the many different religious stories contained in the bible such as Moses and the parting of the Red Sea, the first Passover, the journey to Canaan, the great flood of Noah's time and many others.
