Hello and welcome to our first nine weeks in World History. The first week of school will be used to familiarize the students with classroom rules, procedures and policies. After orientation students will begin their journey of exploration with reviewing what they know of world geography (continents and oceans).
This will be followed by an introduction to directions and maps, the Earth's grid system, prime meridian and other important items needed to accurately read maps and determine locations. Students will complete a map project and we will end our first 9 weeks with learning about how different terrain types are formed and how the elements (weathering) help shape the lands we live in.
